The team is led by Sydney Thunder skipper David Warner, who has guided his side from the bottom of the BBL|13 table into this season’s finals.

Cooper Connolly (351 runs), the BKT Golden Bat winner, joins Warner in a batting order that includes each of the home and away season’s top five fun scorers.

BKT Golden Arm recipient Jason Behrendorff (17 wickets) takes the new ball in an attack featuring four of the season’s top six wicket takers.

Sam Billings (11 dismissals) wears the wicket keeping gloves and is one of two international players, alongside Jamie Overton, to be recognised with selection.

Alistair Dobson, Cricket Australia’s Executive General Manager, Big Bash Leagues, said:

“The BBL|14 Team of the Tournament features the perfect mix of established stars and new faces who have performed exceptionally during this campaign.

“It is brilliant to see the likes of David Warner and Jason Behrendorff earn selection for the first time, alongside a host of other experienced players. Their performances over many years reflect all players’ dedication to the BBL.

“Similarly, the BBL has been the launch pad for young players like Cooper Connolly and Mitch Owen, and a place for internationals including Sam Billings and Jamie Overton to showcase their talent. We know fans love watching them, and all members of this team, every night over the summer holidays.

“We congratulate the entire Team of the Tournament on their selection and thank our head coaches for their work in selecting this side.”
