Terms and Conditions of Entry

The promotion is called “The Old Woolstore and Hurricanes Home Final Experience” (Promotion). Information on how entry occurs and the prize to be won form part of these Terms and Conditions.

By participating in this Promotion in the manner described below, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions

The Promotion is conducted by Cricket Tasmania, the trading name of Tasmanian Cricket Association ABN 34 009 476 993, (Cricket Tasmania or we or us or our). The Promotion is conducted in Tasmania.

The Promotion commences at 00:01 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) on 17 January 2025 and closes at 23:59 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) on 19 January 2025 (Promotional Period).

To enter the Promotion ('Entrant'), you must:

Complete the Promotion questionnaire as distributed by Hobart Hurricanes during the Promotional Period; and
-
be a resident of Tasmania - that is, your ordinary place of residence (and the address noted on your Membership application form) is in Tasmania; and
-
be aged over 18 years of age.

By applying in accordance with the above criteria you agree to be an Entrant and (subject to your right to promptly refuse the prize from the Promotion) you accept these Terms and Conditions.

There is a limit of one (1) entry in the Promotion per person.

Officers and employees of Cricket Tasmania or its related bodies corporate, or any agencies associated with the Promotion, or the immediate family of such persons, are ineligible to enter this Promotion. "Immediate family" means any of the following: spouses (including de facto partners), parents, children or siblings.

The winner of the Promotion will be determined by way of random electronic selection containing all entries submitted by Entrants prior to the closing date of the Promotion. The first Entrant drawn will win the prize (Prize winner).

There is one (1) prize to be won. The prize depends on the date of the BBL Hurricanes Home Final being played (either Tuesday 21 January 2025, Wednesday 22 January 2025 or Friday 24 January 2025 of the 2024-25 season) (Home Final) and consists of:

for the Prize winner and three guests (equal to two adults and two children):

one night accommodation for two adults and two children in a two-bedroom apartment at the Old Woolstore, on the date of the Home Final, including car parking.

breakfast for four people at The Old Woolstore the morning after the Home Final.

four tickets to the Hurricanes Hub at the Home Final.

four merchandise packs to the value of $100inc GST per pack

(Prize)The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, in whole or in part. This applies to the Prize winner and any guest. In the event of illness or other circumstance outside the control of a Prize winner or guest, Cricket Tasmania may at its sole and absolute discretion transfer that person's benefits from the Prize to a person nominated by the Prize winner, but the Prize winner is responsible for all additional costs associated with any change. Any food and beverage purchased by the Prize winner (and/or their guests) at Ninja Stadium Bellerive or The Old Woolstore Hobart in addition to the food and beverage package supplied as part of the above relevant Prize must be paid for by the Prize winner immediately at the time of purchase. The Prize winner is responsible for compliance by themselves and their guest with the terms and conditions of attending the Hurricanes Hub, which will be notified to Prize winners and their nominated guests.

The Prize draw will be conducted at 11:00 AM Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) at 15 Derwent Street, Bellerive, Tas, 7018 on Monday, 20 January 2025.

Cricket Tasmania reserves the right to verify the validity of entries (including an Entrant's identity, age and place of residence). Cricket Tasmania reserves the right, subject to applicable legislation, to disqualify any purported Entrant who Cricket Tasmania determines has tampered with the entry process or has submitted an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (Ineligible Entrant).

The Prize winners will be notified via telephone and email on the day of the draw using the contact details provided by the Prize winner. If the Prize winner refuses the Prize, is unable to attend the Home Final, or Cricket Tasmania is unable to contact the Prize winner by 5:00pm (AEDT) on the day of the draw or (in the case of ineligibility of the Entrant) the day Cricket Tasmania determines that the person drawn is an ineligible Entrant, a redraw will take place at 10.00am (AEDT) the following business date, and this process will be repeated until the relevant Prize winner has been contacted or the Prize has been accepted by the Prize winner.

The Prize must be collected by the Prize winner in person using photo identification from Cricket Tasmania at Ninja Stadium 15 Derwent Street Bellerive in Tasmania. Where this is not reasonably possible, we will make reasonable alternative arrangements with the Prize winner for the delivery or collection of the Prize.

The names and suburb/town of each Prize winner (excluding Ineligible Entrants) will be published on Cricket Tasmania's website, www.crickettas.com.au, within 7 days of the final Prize draw date.

The Prize winner must nominate the accompanying guests at the time of notification of winning the Prize, including their name, address, date of birth, contact email and contact phone number, and any dietary requirements and any other information reasonably required by Cricket Tasmania for the guests to receive the benefit of the Prize with the Prize winner.

Except where otherwise required by law, Cricket Tasmania's decisions in relation to each Prize draw (including any redraw) and all other aspects of the Promotion are final.

You and your guests will be required to submit certain personal information to enter this Promotion, which may include (but is not limited to) your name, phone, address and email contact information, and date of birth. All submitted personal information will be collected and used by Cricket Tasmania to administer this Promotion. The terms of Cricket Tasmania’s Privacy Policy - available at https://www.crickettas.com.au/privacypolicy - apply to all personal information collected by Cricket Tasmania as part of this Promotion. We will not use or disclose personal information for any purpose other than a purpose described in these Terms and Conditions or the Cricket Tasmania Privacy Policy. By entering the Promotion, you agree that Cricket Tasmania can send you marketing material from time to time (subject always to your right to request not to receive such material, as described in Cricket Tasmania's Privacy Policy). We may disclose your personal information and that of your guest/s to other organisations including any external service providers or contractors (who may be located overseas) to enable us to administer this Promotion, operate our business, or as otherwise contemplated by Cricket Tasmania's Privacy Policy.

If you are a Prize winner, by accepting the Prize, you agree to participate in reasonable promotional activities requested by Cricket Tasmania, for no fee or consideration apart from the Prize, and consent to the use of your name, suburb/town or city of origin and image by Cricket Tasmania for promotional and marketing purposes. If you do not want to participate in such promotional activities, or do not agree to provide such consent, you must decline the Prize.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cricket Tasmania (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible or liable for, and you release Cricket Tasmania from any actual or potential liability for any loss suffered or sustained to or by any person or property including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by Cricket Tasmania, or its officers, employees or agents in connection with this Promotion including, without limitation, loss suffered or sustained as a result of:

being deemed an Ineligible Entrant;

winning, receiving or using the Prize;

flight delay or cancellation;

effect of weather or other matter outside of Cricket Tasmania's control affecting the match;

any problems or technical failures in respect of the Prize draw or entry in the Prize draw of any kind;

unauthorised human intervention or interference in any part of this Promotion; or
-
electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of this Promotion.

The Prize winner and any person benefitting from the Prize releases Cricket Tasmania (including its respective officers, employees and agents) from, and indemnifies Cricket Tasmania against, any liability which may otherwise arise to them directly or indirectly from any illness, injury or death suffered by the Prize winner or any other person, or for any loss or damage to the property of the Prize winner or any other person in relation to redeeming or using or benefitting from the Prize (or preventing them from doing so)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cricket Tasmania provides the Prize 'as-is', and makes no representations, warranties or guarantees regarding the quality, suitability, merchantability or any other aspect of the Prize including without limitation as to the standard of accommodation, timing of flights and number of connections, or incidental costs associated with the Prize.

The above Terms and Conditions do not affect, and are not intended to affect, any rights you or any person benefitting from the Prize may have under applicable legislation, including but not limited to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), which cannot legally be limited or excluded by Cricket Tasmania.

If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of being run as planned, including, without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Cricket Tasmania which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, Cricket Tasmania reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Promotion.

All guests of a Prize winner are deemed to have been made aware by the Prize winner of, and be bound by, items 16-24 of these Terms and Conditions before being nominated by the Prize winner as guests.

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement of the parties relating to the conduct of this Promotion.

If any term of these Terms and Conditions or any part thereof is or becomes or is declared illegal, invalid or unenforceable for any reason whatsoever in any jurisdiction and such term or part is severable, it is deemed deleted from these Terms and Conditions in the relevant jurisdiction.

The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in Tasmania.
