After what has been a long and fruitful partnership, the Hobart Hurricanes and The Old Woolstore continue their journey together.
The Old Woolstore has been supporting Tasmanian cricket for seven seasons, as the Hobart Hurricanes Official Accommodation partner.
The partnership has been renewed for a further year, as Hurricanes players continue enjoying their stay at one of Hobart’s premier accommodation providers.
Cricket Tasmania’s General Manager – Partnerships and Infrastructure, Ali Turner, is thankful for the support The Old Woolstore has provided over the years.
“The Old Woolstore has been a great partner of Tasmanian cricket, having come on board in 2018, and worked closely with us through the difficult COVID years.
“Overseas and interstate players make The Old Woolstore their home during the W/BBL seasons, and we would like to thank them for helping support our players and give them a great experience while they are in Tasmania," said Turner
Scott Christie-Johnston is the Sales and Marketing Manager at The Old Woolstore, and is excited to be extending the partnership with the purple army.
“Here at The Old Woolstore we’re looking forward to providing a home-away-from-home to travelling Canes squad-members and to getting involved in what will be another big summer of cricket, with the WBBL already underway.
“The Old Woolstore is nationally recognised as an active supporter of the local Tassie community and it’s a big part of what we’re about, so partnering with the Hurricanes is a great fit for us,” stated Christie-Johnston.
The Hobart Hurricanes continue their WBBL|10 campaign on Wednesday night against the Adelaide Strikers, and their first BBL|14 game is on Thursday 19 December.
