The Hobart Hurricanes can announce the final piece to their WBBL|10 squad, with ACT star, Zoe Cooke joining the Purple Army.
Cooke, who has played for the Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat in previous iterations of the WBBL, is looking forward to playing for the Hurricanes.

“We have a great mix of experience and youth in the team and Jude is a great coach, so I’m keen to learn as much as I can!” said Cooke.
A right-arm medium pacer, and handy lower-order batter, Cooke will bring plenty of experience to the Hurricanes list.
She was first offered a WNCL contract by the ACT Meteors as a 15-year-old and won the ACT Women’s Player of the Year Award in four consecutive seasons.
Throughout her career, Cooke has taken 38 wickets in the WNCL, mainly for the Meteors before she moved to Queensland at the start of the 2023-24 season.
Despite being known as a bowler, Cooke is no slouch with the bat, having scored a WNCL hundred in the 2022-23 season for the ACT.
High Performance General Manager, Salliann Beams, is looking forward to seeing what Cooke can produce for the Hurricanes.
“Cooke has been a consistent performer in domestic cricket in Australia for a number of years, and she can perform for us in the WBBL this season.
“She will provide another great pace bowling option, with the ability to take the new ball and bowl at the death, we can’t wait to see her in purple!” said Beams.
Following the signing of Zoe Cooke, the Hobart Hurricanes can now confirm their full WBBL|10 squad.
Cooke joins, Nicola Carey, Heather Graham, Ruth Johnston, Lizelle Lee (O/S), Tabatha Saville, Hayley Silver-Holmes, Amy Smith, Lauren Smith, Molly Strano, Rachel Trenaman, Chloe Tryon (O/S), Elyse Villani, Callie Wilson, and Danni Wyatt-Hodge (O/S) who will be replaced by Suzie Bates.
WBBL|10 is less than three weeks away from starting with Hobart’s first game against the Sydney Thunder at Bellerive Oval on 28 October.
