It is with great excitement that the Hobart Hurricanes can announce their inaugural T20 Spring Challenge squad, ahead of the start of the tournament on Thursday.
As part of the new tournament, which is being run prior to the WBBL, the Spring Challenge provides all eight WBBL franchises, along with the ACT an opportunity to play more T20 cricket prior to the Big Bash.
The Hobart Hurricanes squad has a lot of similarities to their squad, with 12 WBBL|10 contracted athletes representing the Purple Army in the Spring Challenge.

Tasmanian Emma Manix-Geeves joins her Tigers teammates for the Spring Challenge, and is yet to be announced to any WBBL franchise, will be looking to showcase her talent ahead of the start of WBBL|10 later this month.
Amy Smith and Rachel Trenaman will be unavailable for the Spring Challenge and will be replaced in the coming days before the start of the Spring Challenge on Thursday.
Head Coach of the Female Hobart Hurricanes, Jude Coleman, is looking forward to the Spring Challenge, and the opportunities it will provide our squad.
“The Spring Challenge gives domestic cricketers another tournament to finetune their skills before the start of the WBBL, which is less than three weeks away.
“We are lucky to have a large portion of our WBBL|10 squad playing in this tournament, it will give us a chance to try a few different things with our line-ups and put our players in different roles.
“Any opportunity to play more cricket is a great result for our squad, and we are confident we can perform well for the Purple Army!” said Coleman.
